The Salem Community Food Assessment (SCFA)
was designed as a tool to create a more equitable food system. The intention is to set goals and make policy recommendations. The Salem Food Policy Council assesses the city’s food landscape by identifying how and where residents are able to access nutritious and affordable food, and makes evidence-based recommendations to promote food justice and health equity in the Salem community.
